What's wrong with them?

I was looking at some search engines to find some more bannerfree hosts so i can compare. i stumbled on one called 'freeshells', but the links never worked. I could find them everywhere i looked at (msn, lycos and so on)and when I clicked on thelink I just got an error page...
Another one I found is called 'stas' or something, and every time I try to register, they say that something happened which is not supposed to happen at their server and that's why they cannot register me.
Does anyone know what's wrong with them, or when their systems work again? Or did 'freeshells' exist and they closed???

Stas ( http://www.stas.net ) - Should be working. From what I know, they are in the FreeWebSpace.net database. They offer ''unlimited'' space ( :rolleyes: ) and a file manager that looks like the one from Gossamer Threads. They used to have no ads, but I think they might have dropped that.

FreeShells ( http://www.freeshells.org? ) - From what I can remember, this is the first FWP that offered CGI/Unlimited space. I know a handfull of people who signed up without any luck.
