does it have to be installed? and if it did i couldnt figure out how.. there was a bunch of ---- about what to do, and i was missing files er something

i run on windows ME and i downloaded apache 1.3.22

help me out again guys please.

you must download the win-32 binary version of apache. thats the setup file, automatically installs it.

If you want asp also, then there is a special binary version , with perl, php, asp and apache.
You can download it from here :-

download foxserv 2.0 it comes with apache bundled with php perl mysql python and a mysql client. Its 40 megs and its a lot easier then installing modules in apache
