Does anyone know what's going on with Xoom? They claim that they have unlimited webspace, but I upload about 10mb of data, thay said the device was out of space...

that would mean that the hd of the server that you are on is full.

Actually, that has happened on Crosswinds before; if Xoom has "temporary" drives that pass between your computer and the member accounts, one of them could have filled up instead. In this case, you should just upload later.

Read the fine print and you'll see that it is limited to around 100MBs.

That loser! Hell no! He's not even loyal to Crosswinds. He was just a leech who wanted everything for nothing (hate to admit it, but the other loser, Ron Seabird, was right). Remember back when they first implemented the pop-up and he nuked his entire CW site because they were the last ones to back down on the "free no ads" craze. My name is Ryan; my last initial is 'M;' my whole last name is none of your business since I've never seen any of you before in person.

Nope. I already asked. I think he's Gary from the old boards.

And I already responded; my name is RYAN, not GARY! Geez, get your facts straight! Gary only liked Crosswinds for "no ads;" I wouldn't care if Crosswinds kept their pop-ups forever (even if they loaded through my frames), they still kick ---! Unlike the Nimrod, I'm no leech! And if everyone here thinks I'm crazy, fine! The less people who use Crosswinds, the more disk space and bandwidth there is available for me!

For some reason, you have to visit http://home.crosswinds.net. How are they supposed to get new members by disabling http://www.crosswinds.net!!!

I always thought that was like the dumbest thing a host could do, not allow access to their site via a normal address.

They're upgrading their servers (finally!) now, you morons! Do you even know how often ANY free host has to upgrade? A hell of a whole lot, that's how often, with the rate of the growth of their members. You want a host to be all slow for the rest of its life? How slow do you think Xoom/Nbci used to be before they upgraded? Oh man, they were so slow and unreliable just a few months ago.

This is funny - Xoom tryed todo me for spam today :). I recently started sending there emails back to them. I've never even had an account with xoom. Guess someone who don't like me much used my addie :). They claimed i was sending them mail they never requested. Go figure nor did i ... They have taken me off there mailing list now .. or so they say.

Xoom/NBCi had deteriorated down to a slow crawl untill a couple of weeks ago. I still have a site there and had about lost all of my visitors (down from 200 a day to 10-20 a day) mainly cause of down time. Now their speed and uptime has improved and hits are on the rise. They are much better than a couple of months ago.
