Hey, can anybody help me find a site that gives away free domain name? I mean, I don't want places where you have to ask for a paying hosting site to get one. I don't want to pay at all, if that is possible. Help would be greatly appreciated.

if u r looking for free genric domain names such as .COM .NET and .ORG, u r about 7 yrs too late, its not free any longer, but has gotten cheaper in the last 2 yrs since the U.S. government took Network Solutions' total controls of the genric TLD to promote competitions
u could get it as low as $8.85 now
if u don't care which tld u want to get, there r a few free cc-tld out
- http://domain.kg/ is a popular one on this forum
u could check all of the cc-tld here (most not free): http://www.iana.org/cctld/cctld-whois.htm

You can get a 'free' one here, BUT
http://www.namezero.com/services/indexf.shtml
Namezero will be the official registrant for the domain until you upgrade to our Plus Service.
The length of the free trial is at the discretion of Namezero and is limited to a maximum of 1 year.
You must use accurate information in the application.
The application review process can take up to 8 weeks.
Domain registration is determined by availability at time of processing.
Domains are subject to the Terms of Service and the term of trial service.

nah,
doggydomain.com is inactive and has been that way for over a year. namezero.com is a pain in the neck but if u want to have a .com .net or .org domain, use 'em. I don't thing you acually own your domain name though :confused2

LoL
freepseudo.com offers SUB-DOMAIN FORWARDING. So why would anyone register a domain name @ "www.myname.us.cf" when they can get the same options @ "www.myname.tk"?!?
