Problem with font smoothing...

I have a problem with font smoothing on a friends computer, small fonts are blurred with font smoothing on and with it off they are almost unreadable. The IE text size is on medium so that shouldn't be a problem. (btw, this happens on all sites)

Looks to me that they are just too small to be rendered properly. This site uses font size=2 which is small. If you have high resolution and/or your system font size set small you may need to use "larger" in IE.

Hmm, but I have a higher resolution than him and I can set my font size to "smaller" without any problems.

If I set it to larger, it becomes uncomfortably big.

Check the system dpi and how many points he has set "normal" to in the browser (if it has that option, IE5 hasn't). Seems odd if you say larger is too large though. :confused2
