What are some good freeware programs for making flash animations?

How hard would it be to have an image "wipe" in a webpage (like window squeegie wipe in a webpage in three strokes or so) ?

1) u only could make flash from Micromedia Flash, but its not free

2) there r way to make animations for free w/ animated gif which r free n u could search for it at download.com n there r built-in features that make ur "wipe" in those programs

No, there are other programs that make swf. Don't know if they are free and don't know about good though. One is called Swisch or similar.

Several programs do this...Coffeecup, Flash, Swish, etc. The simpliest (for good reason) is the new Swish. For all things Flash/Swish...visit http://board.flashkit.com/ forums with over a million posts. :D

yeh swish is good.. nice and simple and a lot smaller in size... there are also some good freeware/shareware progz such as Flax ( http://www.flaxfx.com / http://www.goldshell.com ) that can make simple text effects...

i made this simple animation easily with flax, http://www.geocities.com/afl_ooff/zookzsta.swf but you will need a registered version otherwise it scrambles your text..

if your're considering learning flash you may as well buy the full thing or just try out a trial version @ http://www.macromedia.com but its around 20 mbs to download.. good luck !!! :D
