If you use a reputable ad company and do the right thing, you will be paid. If in doubt about the reputable companies, check here before you sign up.

Unfortunately there are some fly-by-night companies that start up, get publishers to sign up and then laugh all the way to the bank :(

I'm afraid they're right.. the hassle you'd have to go through would just not be worth it. I have gambled with thousands of dollars of ad revenue in the past, waiting up to 3 months to get it from amazing media. I must say I was starting to think I was getting screwed but they finally started sending me checks. It was a huge relief and I was thankful that I kept the faith that i had in them when everyone else was telling me to drop them.
