Argh, this is the second time they've severly ----ed up the lines in this area...I get so much static that my connection's been reduced from 49~80 kbps to about 5 Kbps. :angry2:

It's hard for me to believe that my connection hasn't had any major problems in over a month.

Broadband wouldn't help me any since the only available broadband in this area is Cloud 9, Earthlink, and a few others, all running on Verizon lines. :mad:

BTW, I'm getting lag every 5-10 seconds, and it lasts from 10 ms to 2minutes.

verizon is one of the best bandwidth providers ... who KEEP upgrading and adding more peirings .... thats probally why your getting crap bandwidth ... it should improve today ..

Using bt openworld adsl in the uk I can do 100mb in 30 minutes. Is that any good?

a 600mb takes me hmm 45-1 hour. I'm on cable. 1 Way cable. so right now my download is around 1300kbps and upload is around 20kbps. 2 way is around 3400kbps and 128k up

In the morning [at school of course, when only few are around...the true nerds :D], my bandwidth is about 3250 kbps down, 2200 kbps up.

Dual T1s plus Cable [why they installed that too is beyond me, one of the T1s comes from the nyc board of ed]

The T1 is probably capped by MSI.

600 mb files generally take about two weeks for me to finish. :cool:
