I just started noticing this like yesterday I think, I didn't think it was nothing much because it didn't really effect much, it says

Cannot find a device file that may be needed to run windows or a windows application

The windows registry or SYSTEM.INI file refers to this device file, but the device file no longer exists

If you deleted this file on purpose try uninstalling the associated application using its uninstall or setup program

If you do still want to use the application associated with this device file, try reinstalling that application to replace the missing file.
Z:vvinesd.38
Press a key to continu

this happens right after startup

Uninstall the program or do a search for the missing file and replace it...

;)

Open up the registry and do a search for that file or whatever says is missing and delete anything that mentions that file and it should be fixed.

Open up system.ini, find Z:vvinesd.38 and remove the line. Viola!

It's most likely to be in the registry though :p ;)

I had the same problem before, got rid of it using my method.

I guess you can go to your registry and search for it... but it would be much easier to do it my way. :devious2:

Yeah? Well, I found it in system.ini. So there. :jaguar2:

If you can't find it in system.ini, then go search for it in your registry. :p
