I think that free web hosts like tripod and others must have it. They have to change the code on all the pages so that the ads appear.

It's through Apache. You don't have access, well, rather you shouldn't have the access to change this if you're a client.

Is that what he's referring to? I thought he meant locally and _really_ simultaneously. Well, includes of some kind maybe?

He can go around putting includes in each file if he wants, but that doesn't reach his goal, because he wants it done automatically. This is like a last resort.

Cheatpark:

You can write a perl script that parses every single HTML file, grabs the content, and inserts a code after the <html> tag if you want. Use s///.

It's almost automatic. S&R to insert the tag and then he's set. I don't think he meant dynamically. I HAVEN'T A CLUE WHAT HE MEANT! :biggrin2:

He did say _more_ than one file and at _once_. I think he means dynamically, but he's hard to understand. ;)

Ah, but he could have meant that he wouldn't have to write the HTML to a single file at the time. This is very interesting. :classic2:

You can use the search and replace method that most html editors have.

Homesite has an extended replace option - you can replace something in many files at once.

And I thought he meant force-inserted code like with apache/httpd. :confused2
