Can't access the forums!

Is this problem only happening for me?

I can't access the forums... actually can't access freewebspace.net, and havn't been able to for the last two days!

I got on today and yesterday, but that was at school.

I can only get here while at home by going through the IP address.

Good luck! I had trouble accessing one particular site once, and tried ringing them... no help at all! lol.

"Is the site respectable?"

"Make sure you've got TCP installed."

"You might need to reinstall Windows."

"Oh? You're using Windows 2000? That might be the problem".

Okay I rang them.

The lady who answered was able to access freewebspace.net, I asked her if she was with dingoblue ;) Then she realised she wasn't on a dialup so got someone else to check it who was using dialup.

That person also got it and she asked me to check my DNS settings as they changed recently - so I changed that (if you haven't already done it change the last number in the DNS to 132 for both primary and secondary)

I restarted and tried it but it still doesn't work :cry2:

Well, I can access the site fine :D

If you can't access this site at all, use an anonymous proxy service such as www.megaproxy.com and you should be able to get through.

I have my 'puter to automatically get DNS or whatever it is, 'cuz I remember ringing up a few months ago with a problem, and while I was talking the guy told me that I don't need them and to get rid of them... so I did, and it's worked fine without. :eek:

Hmmm. Well, even the IP address url didn't work for me for the last hour or two... but now the actually freewebspace.net url is working.

All very strange I think. :confused2

I was trying to look for one of them before to try, but couldn't find one... pity I couldn't get here to see this thread. :cool:

I thought, though, that Dingo Blue was just using Optus, so Optus and Dingo Blue customers were on the same thingo. :eek:

Yeah dingo is through the same network, but all ISPs either go through Optus or Testra somehow (maybe others that I am not aware of).

They just connect straight to Telstra or something like that.
