If you have a need to run Vbulletin then you probably are going to have a heavy-traffic message board. That's going to make it really easy for Vbulletin to find you, and unlike downloading a pirated copy of photoshop to your own computer where nobody will know it's there, a pirated version of Vbulletin will be online. You can't really hide it. There are a lot of Vbulletin/UBBBoard-like alternatives that are freeware and open source. Use those! If you need to know some, just ask

I have a full version of vBulletin...
Am I going to give it to you... NO....
Why??
Because I'm a licensed vBulletin owner...and its against the TOS of Jelsoft...and its illegal...
I'm going to make this clear... If you have vBulletin installed your site, I'm going to report you to the owners of Jelsoft for further investigation. Its kinda one of my duties as a licensed owner of vBulletin... sorry... Anything suspicious, I'm suppose to report. Its a know thing at vBulletin...
Sorry man...
If anyone else doesn't like it or approve of me reporting illegal usage of vBulletin... tough! :D
Thank you for your time... :)

get it off warez
but your gonna get caught fast... ;)

If you own a license... NO you can't distribute it... its against the TOS....look for yourself....
You shouldn't tell people to look for it on a warez site... Warez are illegal... Distributing scripts that you paid for to people that haven't paid for them are illegal... or even if you haven't paid for them and are giving them to people that haven't paid for them...is illegal...
WebDude...here's your chance to use your powers to be... :)
Sorry... we should discuss this anymore....

If you really want a BB that looks remotely like this, go search cgi-resources.com and their php resources...get a board like YABB, Ikonboard, or a php board that looks like this and is free and LEGAL

Now let's just use some common sense here. Does this sound right to you? All we need is just one person to buy a program and then they can offer it to the world free of charge?
Is this how warez site owners think? I wonder?

Here's the License Agreement....
http://www.vbulletin.com/license.html
I quote (segemts of the license):
1) A vBulletin license grants you the right to run vBulletin on one web server and one web site for each license purchased. Each license may power one instance of vBulletin on one domain.
2) vBulletin source code may be altered (at the owners risk), but the software (altered or otherwise) may not be distributed to entities beyond the license holder without the explicit written permission of Jelsoft Enterprises Limited.
3) Registered users may modify the vBulletin code for their personal use (at their own risk), but any altered code must not be redistributed or resold in any form.
4) If any terms are violated, Jelsoft Enterprises Limited reserves the right to revoke the license at any time. No license refunds will be granted for revoked licenses.
That should cover your questions....

UBB is kinda tightwad on that stuff now-a-days. I couldn't see them giving away the full free version, but at one point they allowed people to distibute modifications or "hacks" to the freeware version. In eccense, you could download the free trial version, download the hacks and essentially have a board with all the features of the full version. Some sites like http://www.ubbhackers.com would distribute these hacks. But UBB has since made such things illegal, but you can still use a hacked-up board if you downloaded it prior to the date they made that change...
