Anyone know any good topsites list script? One that doesn't use SSI and is perl or php base?

Well you can go to
Hostscrips.com (http://hotscripts.com/PHP/Scripts_and_Programs/Top_Sites/) and they have some very good php topsites scripts.
or
cgi.resourceindex.com (http://cgi.resourceindex.com/Programs_and_Scripts/Perl/Website_Promotion/Top_Sites/) They have some good cgi topsites scripts.

one that I really like is, before I made my own, is List Site PRO (http://www.listsitepro.com/), and its free.

I installed that LIST SITE PRO but when i am about to setup a new topsite it keeps on saying "Make sure the index.html file has the permissions set to 777." What do I do even though I chmod it 777 already?

Is the folder the index.html file in also chmod 777? If it isn't, try doing that. ;)
