It would slow down loading pages if everyone posted their banner or a 400k photo of their pet... I know you would all do that, so don't try to deny it. ;)

I was going to post a shot of my feret, :)
j/k, but I was in the need to post a shot of something (a program) and had to link to it, witch isn't a big deal, because then only the people that want to see it will.

Even a 10k image loaded from a slow server can take a painful long time to load, so I think the best thing would be to link to that image in your post.

Maybe but how about 4k images and an option to turn them on/off? 'cause I want to be able to put this 1k image in my sig...
