http://www.alxnet.com is the closest, with just text links and no banners or pop ups. Of course it's not that good of a board.

Alot of them(such as xsorbit) started out with no ads. They all ad ads in time though.

i tried new1.org
it sucks, it gives you a system is too bussy crap, and wont load your forum because of it.

Nah...Proboards are relatively uncustomizable and unflexible. That's why they're further down the list on my webpage:

I disagree... proboards are customizable and flexible.

http://geforce.proboards4.com is a board I usually visit... :D

http://gcnetwork.proboards.com is my board. They are customizable and I recommend them.

Wow, GC! You are the first person to have a well-CUSTOMIZED Proboard that I have ever seen. That must be a record! I saw some people with a few changes (maybe they made the header red or something) and most people had it as the default black.

Now...can you customize the images too?
