CGI or PHP i have got Mysql...i just need it to be able to sign up members and send them a confirmation email with there password... and when they sign in say "Hello NAME"

Do you mean like a version of phpNuke with just user registration?

because it would be very easy to write your own, market it and then get a few more hits on your website.

With L-A is it possible to show the user name on the page? like Welcome, %name%
