I don't know if anyone else has experienced this today/yesterday (depending what time zone you are in) But several times today I have tried to access the site and just can't connect.

When I finally do there is only like 10 online all up, which indicates to me that others are possibly having problems also. :(

There have been two times when it would have been down. One 1/26/02 we performed a kernel upgrade. We shut down the vBulletin board with a message saying it would be rebooted shortly and it would cause at most 4 minutes of downtime. Users posted about it here: http://www.freewebspace.net/forums/showthread.php?threadid=17878

Other then that there shouldn't have been any downtime. Occasionally MySQL will be restarted which drops active connections so the active members number is low for a minute or two.

If it ever goes down run a traceroute from your end and when it comes back up for you send me a private message. I'm guessing it's a problem between your ISP and our network and the trace will show us that. There are never ending network problems all over so it happens more often then you would think: http://www.internettrafficreport.com/

Now with that said on Thursday morning at around 2:00 am Eastern time the network will be upgraded causing no more then 15 minutes of downtime and probably far less. If there are ever times where I know about planned downtime I will tell Peo and then he will decide to inform the board or not.
