I was uploading to tripod today and they just deleted all my files. strange.

Does anybody know of any free sites i can use for storing things to link to from my aol site?

What? lol you only get 2 megs per screen name with AOL (Well 4 if you create a myhomepage profile thing for some reason)
7 screen names thats only 28 megs. cmon now.

Heh heh, well I think you are better off splitting the site up and actually hosting parts of it on other providers. It is the hot-linking that usually either gets your files deleted, or causes problems.

(Ya' can't really blame 'em for protecting their bandwidth).

hot linking?

The reason I like having my htm files on AOL is because it loads fast and theres no ads (unless you join there stupid hometown, which there is no point to)

LOL, yeah, that'd be 14, but anyway...

When you link from a page to a file stored on another server, you are just using the other server for their drive space and for their connection. Basically stealing their bandwidth, which is why you often can't do this.

If you put the page there, then at least their banner comes up now and then and they get a bit of revenue.

No itd be 28 cuz when you go to keyword:profile and make a web profile they give you 2 additional megs for some reason.

Stupid Tripod!!!!!!!!!!! They deleted my files too! And just 'cause I had a little porn on there! Who considers 30 mb of porn "alot"?!?!!?!?

porn is porn, man...... if you're thinking of finding a fwp that hosts partially-nude sites, you can check in with that eccentrixdotcom (any spelling errors? maybe I can't spell, but I know my math :D) guy who's planning on starting a fwp that hosts almost-but-not-quite-nude sites. :)
