Well I made this site this summer. It's not much and I'm fairly new at html and this is pretty much just a personal site but it would be great if I could get some reviews on it. Also don't forget to sign my guestbook if you feel like it.

I really donīt like it to be completely honest.. I will give you as much as suggestions as possible...
- The background on the body should be changed... change it to white... the tile effect doesnīt look good.
- The title in the body would go better with a white background.
- Change the news graphic, it isnīt good.
- Extend the frame
- Get rid of the blue background and change the buttons completely.
- Also you need to work on the graphics in the sections.
- I had two pop-ups pop up in my face.
Overall, I will give it a 2 out of 10.

The background has to be changed, the blocky background makes it hard for me to read anything.

C'mon now, don't be so harsh on him. I actually think that you did a very good job, since you are just new to HTML. It's not easy starting of something completely new, so I would have to say that it's a pretty good site for a beginning.
Keep it up and you'll make a very professional site very soon. Wish you best of luck ;)

the pop-ups were from anglefire, so unless u want him to add an ad killer script he cant do anything about that. I agree with everything else Giancarlo said about the lay.out

A white backround would really make your logo stand out and white = snow :)
Make a separate page for Awards please!
Get rid of that news animation and lighten the background colour on the left frame.

my sugestions are:
- change the background in the main frame
- change the menu frame - there are different three colors (background, buttons and logo) - it is too much. Maybe change the menu frame background to: bgcolor="#002956"

It is actually really good for a first site... my first site was much worse...

I don't grade lighter just because a person is a newbie at HTML. I grade sites based on how I feel about them honestly, and if I don't like it, it gets a very low score. I haven't given a 100% ever, though, and I'm still awaiting the "perfect" webpage.
- Frames are bad for just about everything. There's very little good to say about frames except they're easy to do (too easy to do that they look unprofessional) and load faster than a page full of tables.
- I honestly don't really mind the background image. However, you need to get all the logos to match with that background, or it looks like a total mess. This especially applies to the main logo of "The Ski Chalet".
- Images are very rough and poorly designed. It looks like you used an incredibly low-quality image generator to design all of them. There's really no originality in any of them, and they're mostly blurry. None of them fit with the background. Also, you have the wrong focus when designing the images. Instead of making the titles, such as "Trick List" in images, you use sub-categories like "Basic Grabs" with images.
- Nav bar problems. First, that red box around each image to show "visited" looks absolutely terrible! It leaves a great look of unprofessionality. Also, why is there no link back to the homepage? That's the most important link you must have in your nav bar! And what's up with that picture of a guy skiing up there? It doesn't seem to fit in with the rest of the bar.
- "Downloads" table needs work. It needs to be centered and have a more attractive style to it. It's too plain and dull. Also, you do not need such a big "Download it!" image.
- Hmm...there doesn't seem to be very many tips. Not very helpful...
- Links page...Is there really no organization anywhere? Also, get rid of blue boxes around the images.
- Never ever put a direct e-mail in your page. The least you can do is include a form, but seeing that Angelfire sucks in everyway, you MUST at least create a "Contact" page.
- Guestbook color scheme; totally unrelated to webpage.
- Far too many ads (choose different host); pages load VERY slooooooooowly. Don't know the reason because Angelfire generally is rather fast.
Overall: 20% (I would agree with GC's score in this case.)

Great first effort though! Keep on refining those image skills, though your HTML skills seem mostly brushed up enough. :)

Thanks for the criticism guys. I think I definetely need to get rid of some of those images to slow the load times down. I think I am gonna stick with frames though. Thanks again for the suggestions.
