None that I know of for free, and I don't think you'll find that combination (reliably) for free either. I could look to see what ultra-cheap hosts offer it if you'd like. Even then reliability might be an issue.

the only other people i can think of besides f2s are http://www.portland.co.uk and they have a 100mb limit on bandwidth.

Yes they do. They have mySQL and the one that starts with a "p" (dunno the name).

I believe that's the one!

About the portland 100mb limit, that isn't toughly enforced, they'll lock your site if you go miles over (i.e: if you use 200mb/day) but when I last used them I was using way more than 100mb/month (and their stats proved it - I find them quite good)

Now I'm not too sure why portland loads slow, seems like huge latency, but if I ping them from here, they reply sub 20ms.. and from the London Jolt backbone directly they are in at <5ms..

Downloading from them is also reasonable speed - and as I suggested in another thread - could it be a cpu power type problem - as they seem to host all sites on the same machine - unlike F2s, which have quite a few now.

Nope.. almost anything that works with MySQL should also work with Postgres. Postgres is actually faster; the only reason that it's less popular is because MySQL has been around for a long time.

My vBulletin says that it's compatible with MySQL only in the config.php file. Are you sure it works with PostgreSQL?
