well for cgi use yeah and you get no adds banners when you use the cgi.spaceports.com host, but alot of people hate it around here. I kind of do, they seem down sometimes, they have a tight bandwidth limit, but they are fast usally.

conjkermaniac, you are in china. they are quite good CGI is okay PHP/mySQL is okay but jus tokay because its Perl 5.005_3/PHP 4.0.2/mySQL 3.22. They aren't acfcepting new members on the cgi-bin.spaceports.com server as the HDD is full. For an example of a site hosted by them go to http://galileo.spaceports.com/~rvp/ go to them if you need unlimited space or PHP/mySQL but go to http://free.prohosting.com if you want CGI.

On their other servers, you get the evil ad-bar.

Aw, come on - 5 gigs monthly transfer is not "tight."

spaceports is the worst server ever:
1) anti-leech script against bandwidth steeling on cgi servers - no redirection (kickme.to etc. ) in frames possible (well, it is possible, but only when breaking out of frames on another server and redirecting to spaceports from there, but even then top.location.replace will not work, only the javascript-less "refresh" redirection)
2) slow like hell, slow like 2 hells, I have had at least 40 accounts all on different servers and this one the slowest
3) no freespace - my server just ran out of space, but the admins don't even think of inserting a new harddisc. result: everytime a cgi script updates a file (poll/counter, whatever), the contents of the file disappears. they will insert a new harddisc eventually, the question is when? I don't ask that question, I went to other servers.
