Since you're the leading CrossWinds expert (not that that's a good thing ;)), when are the signups going to be returning? You said later this evening... yesterday. So do you have any idea of the real time or not?

How am I supposed to know? I'm not Tony! Tony said that the new, powerful RAID server that now houses my site and every other CW member site, which was so reliable when it was in Canada, had all of a sudden become unstable when it went to New York. However, my site actually didn't go offline at all yesterday (not at the three different times I checked, and I actually had a new guestbook entry), so they should be back up today, but I don't know. Forgive Tony and CW, they're only human.

What a load of crap. First of all, CW has never been stable. Also, the whole "it mooved to NY and it screwed up", what a load of... well you get the point. CrossWinds needs to start changing plans if they want to survive in a state of well being.

BTW, Cracker: where's your CW site at?

Hey, nobody's perfect. Besides, they're stable now! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

By the way, Nick, if you think you're so smart, why don't YOU start your own FWP, with true unlimited webspace! What's the matter, Nick? You chicken!? Or maybe I'm right, and nobody can do it like Crosswinds can! All hail Scott Holmes, our leader at Crosswinds (and his brother?, Tony)!

I'm Ryan Mangin, not Gary Nimrod (he was one of my aliases, until I stopped being so chicken; all right, I've cracked again - like the cracker I am). "Gary" didn't respect a company's right to make a profit, but I do. I believe Crosswinds deserves what they are getting.

How? By being nice enough to post a link back to Crosswinds on my links page because my frames block their pop-up (not my fault, look at the pop-up script, and if you open one of my pages in its own window, the pop-up will appear). What's wrong with doing that?

Oh, we'll see about that. Maybe with the pop-ups (which are still there), Crosswinds won't attract as many members and will never have to upgrade again. Okay, I'm probably being overoptimistic here.

Also, Technics, please don't hound me about being who I am. I'm telling you, I'm a totally different person who still likes Crosswinds, no matter what they do (as long as they don't limit my webspace, charge for webspace, or give away my personal information without my consent). I will NEVER put down an FWP for forcing ads or otherwise trying to make money ever again, I promise! Also, please don't refer to me as Nimrod again, because he's not real.

Ryan Mangin = REAL
Gary Nimrod = FORMER ALTER EGO, NOW DECEASED

I wonder what would happen if I tried to apply for free webspace on Unixfusion (which I won't, sorry)? Technics would probably turn me down because he doesn't want anyone "mental" on his server, which he probably thinks I am now.

I would IF I had the time. The money is not a problem, but I go to school, go to work, go to sleep and that concludes my day. Some where I squeeze in time to get on the net.

Anyway, if I did have one, I'd do it the right way and not the Canadian way :D.

What's wrong going the Canadian way? I know A LOT of GREAT companies who have their servers housed in Canada (Tera-Byte.com for one). Shiiittt... I would move to Canada if I could, at least they elected a prime minister within 1 day...

Yeah...Canada kicks ---...anyways, does it make a whole lot of difference where a service is located? Canada does have some of the best(maybe the best?) communications system in the world. I doubt it makes a huge difference though. I think it doesn't matter a lot where it is, as long as it's pretty fast when accessed from all parts of the world.

All Americans suck! The American way is the dumbest way to do anything in the world!
Most people would not like this since most people are very patriotic.
(By the way, the above insult is not my point of view. I was joking)

First of all, I'm anti-government. I hate the US government, I think it is the stupidest scheme I have ever seen. A lot of people rag Canada down here so I seized(sp?) the moment to make a smartass comment :D. Second of all, I might have been born in America, but I'm Czech so I wouldn't care if you made that comment about Americans sucking, case most of them do anyways ;).

Yes, cause Nick isn't stupid enough to claim unlimited space, Nick would have 25 MB accounts with CGI/PHP access which is much more vaulable than "unlimited space". But Nick isn't gonna waste his time on a FWP anyway so you don't have to worry about it.

Probablly not because I don't know many. They might suck for all I know.

[You're fighting an uphill battle, Coolin ;)]
