I can't blame them I guess, they have been providing a free service for as long as I have been on the 'net. And more and more people are requesting signups. Some are even charging a small fee to use their services.

I'm downloading things from download.com all the time, so when it asked me to register a while back I thought 'ah what the heck' and registered.......and no they dont send you spam :D
