For hopefully the last time in my life, phpBB 2. It's a great board; fast and not full of useless features.

I would stay away from Burning Board. The board itself is okay--I guess--but their community is just downright rude.

use phpBB2.

The freaking wBB community said that if i wanted to use phpBB2, USE IT! they told me that rudely...

Anyway I REALLY used it.

BTW if you want features, wait for wbb2.

in my opinion, most of new forums have same appereance, each post in a gray box (for example look at vbulletin and phpbb)
i like old forums better for example railroad.net forum:
http://www.railroad.net/forums/

Not really... OpenBB is too buggy and not very customizable either.

NO its not, openBB is really great, but the VBB code structur is alot better.
and also, vbb admin section is also better.
