'Sup. I'd like to finalize my new design and start working out the backend tomorrow...

So first off, do you think the "new" is better than the "old," and second, what can be done to further improve upon the design?

I'd like to do something else with the left menu - now that I've removed the top bar it just doesn't look right...

(Again this is IE5/NS6 only for now...)

The main thing I would do is get a better logo in the upper left corner. The plain white "woofcat" doesn't add much spice to the page. Email me, and I'll make you one :D.

with the filters and effects built into paint programs these days, anyone can make anything. maybe he wants it that way.

i like the old one better, with the solid bar stretching across the entire screen... looks better without the 2 blue cells touching each other

yeah, I agree with keith.

you know, I was loading your old one, and when the blue part didn't load yet, your site actually looked nice all black! :D Maybe you try a black background for the Woofcat logo along with the old design..... see how it turns how.

Just made a couple minor changes...

I'll play around with it a little more today... I agree that the blue cells need more separation...

I'll probably get someone to make a logo at some point... My computer is too crappy to run any good graphics programs...

The news on the right is impossible to read, I suggest changing the font color from grey to something like white.

I would personally lose the button look on the top and go back to the bar across the top...it looks way more profesional...

And Coolin is right, the only color that works for the news in this color scheme is white (definately not gray!)
