i like to login to the server and making changes directly
how can i do this?

Search in download.com for an ftp client, then connect to your server (if your host provide you ftp access), and then choose the file that you want to wirk on and right click with the mouse and choose "edit", then edit the file and upload back to the server :D

I don't know if this is what you're asking, but maybe you could install a script, that will let you edit your pages online , through your browser. The edit option of the ftp clients is a good alternative too.

You can also make a database driven site, it will be very very easy to update.
