:confused: WTF is this? I've never heard of 1freehost24.de. I tried to translate it but babel made mincemeat of it. There's something about portland.co.uk and having to insert a pop-under code. Has this to do with host4u.at? That's the only German speaking host I've signed up for (knowingly).

I'm not sure, but I see the word "Kooperation" in the text meow posted above. The next word is "mit" (which is probably with), and after that, you see portland.co.uk. I'm guessing it probably is a co-brand.

Thanks guys! I must be thick, because I still don't understand. They use several URLs. I've never heard of any of them, nor have I registered an account at any of them. So my guess is they have a third alias where I have registered an account.

They don't mention my account's name, so I have no idea which host this is all about. I have accounts at Portland but I hardly think they are behind this. :confused:

I have just resolved an issue with some file upload/download site.

I had an email 2 days saying I had successfully sign up and my user name was ****** but I could only use the trial version etc etc etc.

Nope, not likely in my case. It's an address I use very little and only for web accounts. Never used it for a private mail.
