Hi,

We've just released our new design for our site. It would be great if you could help us by giving it a review.

What we would most want to find out are:

would you buy from us?
are they any broken links?
are there any perculiarities on your browser version or resolution?
hints and places of improvement?

Thanking everyone in advance!

Would I buy from you?
Perhaps...you're site design is a bit rough, therefore making you appear less reliable. Trial period is an excellent idea, and will definitely help contribute to your cause. Prices are pretty good, but it "loses" it as it goes on into the $15-$30/month plan. I think that instead of making the prices solely dependent on space/transfer, you definitely need to add some FURTHER features to the more expensive accounts. 200 more MB of space and 1 more GB of transfer (between the $15-$30 plans) does not justify a plan being DOUBLE the price.

Are there any broken links?
No, but the e-mail addresses could definitely be made into links.

Are there any pecularities on your browser version or resolution?
None. Perfect for browsers using 1024x768 res. There may be some problems (especially speed) with older virtually unknown browsers. Low resolutions and extremely high resolutions do not seem like a problem.

Hints and places of improvement?
Web design needs MAJOR improvement. For some reason, your site appears extremely dull to me. The main page should be a place full of images and flashy, attractive plans. Instead, you've gone for the big bold loud-color text for the "Free Trial Hosting Period" announcement. When compared with many other hosts with exciting websites, PerpetualHosting seems overall very boring and dry. You should consider changing the typical "logo at top, left-column for nav, middle column for info, right-column for other stuff" scheme. Another noticeable distraction is the white background behind the hosting plans. I think those four images also look very dull and lifeless. I think images and a new layout will help bring your site to life.

Your site looks fine, although it sort of looks plain. The lines in the background aren't very comfortable to the eyes (in this case mine).

would you buy from us?

Remove the words "No it's not a scam and we haven't gone bananas" from the front page. My immediate thought was 'oh really??'

are they any broken links?

No, but I would provide a link back to the main page.

are there any perculiarities on your browser version or resolution?

Looks fine in Netscape 4.7 and 800*600

hints and places of improvement?

I would make an attempt to improve the logo. And "By submitting this form, you agree that you have read and fully adhere to our Terms and Conditions of Service." where are they? Provide a link to it please :)

Thanks everyone for the input! Your constructive criticism have been much appreciated!

We've already made some changes like putting the underlines back to all our links, putting a link back to our main site.

We've deliberately tried to make our site as simple as possible without all the clutter that is typical of a normal site. This has been our style of approach - hassle free and no fuss. We'll definitely look into a more hyped up sales tone though.

Plan logos will definitely be retouched.

I think your left and right side bars are to simple, try and spice them up a little.

would you buy from us?

No. You are at least 3 times as expensive as most hosts posting here and are new as far as I understand.

are they any broken links?

Check for yourself. :p

are there any perculiarities on your browser version or resolution?

No. But 800px fixed width will give you a horizontal scrollbar even in a maxed window on 800*600.

hints and places of improvement?

No. :)
