I know this might be a little hard to control, but I'd like to suggest that members not quote threads when they are replying to the last thread made. (I hope that made sense) It's kinda annoying.
for example, you'd see something like this.
--------------------
thread

Yes, I agree...
and those are two consecutive threads. I know it's not much, I'm just easily annoyed.

But sometimes if you don't quote it, nobody will know to whom/what you were replying/talking to.
The only thing we can ask of people is to think twice before clicking on that quote button. And insist that they only quote the part they are going to make a response to.

I agree with LeX! A popular thread that gathers like 2 pages in minutes, if you didn't quote at least the relevant part before replying it would end up very confusing.
I don't like it when the whole post is quoted because then you have to read the whole quote to see what the reply *might* be referring to and some posts are HUGE! :confused2

Well, sometimes I see people quoting these HUGE posts in the very first reply, only to say nothing but "yeah" or "I agree."

see, cheatpark, to me that's fine, cause you quoted the original message, I don't mind that or if it's not quoting the post right before yours, it's just when you quote a consecutive post that bothers me.

That's one of those common sense rules that isn't written. Basically, it is obvious that you don't have to quote the post before you, but some people do it. When I run across those, I try to remove the quote just to cut down on the text. Report it if you like.
