Some people should not take email for granted...

I don't anymore ... you get a dedicated server i.e cobalt raq3 slap in a package you wished you hadnt uninstall it make everyones email accounts go loopy. I've lost over 200 emails this week ;p.

I have come to the conclusion that e-mails aren't "instant", or as fast as I thought they'd be. Sure, there are times where you DO recieve emails real quickly, but then there are times you sent an email and the guy you sent it to had to wait for a few days for him to actually recieve it.
Once, I test emailed myself, and the email came back a few days later. Da hell... ?

So, you want fast, or, more accurately, instant, get IM.

The average time for email delivery now is around 10 minutes peak times and 1 minute off peak .. on netscape and hotmail.

Geez...you guys need to change provider. For me email is instant except if there is something wrong. I use several prividers. What do you use Lex?

My email is fast now that i've tamed my RAQ :D and that wasnt an easy job to do. My unixfusion email is incredicablly fast.

Use Trillian it's the best, ICQ,AIM,MSN,IRC(!!),YAHOO all into one. It's cool and it's skinnable I have a windows XP skin.

You can directly get it from www.trillian.cc, don't forget to download the latest MSN and Yahoo patch. Apparently after complaining that AOL is not ready to allow inter connectivity MS shut off other multi IM's from it's service about 2 days back by changing the protocol. SO the patch. Yahoo patch fixes some bugs.
