better quality?The JPEG is sharper and has a noticeably greater color depth. Look at the shaft of the "i" in "Web Design", in the JPEG it's perfect, in the GIF the blue bleeds through a bit. Look at the gradient of colors from the center out toward the edge, it's much more fluid in the JPEG.

I'd use the JPEG instead.
