Are there any Vbulletin look-a-likes out there?
I think paying the price they want for a msg board is going to far.
It is a good board mind you,but jeeze, you would think it could be a little cheaper!
Please list if there are any:)
Thanks

Almost everything - all you need to do is change the graphics/colors. I find OpenBB the easiest to customize.

Forgot to mention: make sure you don't simply steal the buttons - I've heard they really don't like that (and its probably copyrighted).

LOL! You won't get in trouble for using Burning Board. But I agree that OpenBB is almost an exact vB look-alike. I always confuse the two. I also occasionally confuse Burning Board with vB because of the icons; I really don't know why.

Btw, OpenBB changed its look for the final release. It seems to have adapted the XP look. I personally prefer the older template.

Then it's openBB whose code is close to that of vB.

Three template sets, including the two old ones, are being included in the final release.

To me, they all look similiar to infopop's UBB....as that's what pretty much all modern bulletin boards can trace their lineage back to.

It looks nothing like phpBB2. It resembles the 1.x series.

Come to think of it, I think it sort of looks like a WBB with hacks and gradients.
