I was wondering why do this forum loggs IP Adresses ? (I know more forums that do that). Why ?

We had an incident with a banned member whose IP was of course, logged. He stupidly threatened to bring harm to all of our sites, but of course, with the IP address, if that were to happen, we could always track the IP down to his ISP, then notify the ISP, as well as press charges.

Yeah with persistant people this becomes necessary. There are four that I can think of just since I have been here that continue joining under different names. In the end the ban IP is implemented because they just don't take the hint that they are no longer welcome. :devious2:
