I bought an amd-k62 processor for 80 bucks about 3 months ago. Well i think it was broken. We could never determine if it really was but that is beside the point. I was having problems so i called up AMD (They are great). And so i called them and i sent back the processor and they said they would send one back. So i was like sure whatever. I call back well they are out of stock (i am mad now). So i start talking to Randy (talk to him if you do call). He says yah know we are sorry just got notice of being out of them. They are without power and all. Well he says I will send you and Athlon 800 mhz to replace it. No Charge. Well i need a new motherboard for that so i say no. Well he says he doesn't know how long till the 500's come in. So i call back all mad. He talks me through it and all. I call back a technical manager and all. Well finally i say send it. Well Randy says yah know i am sorry for your trouble he sends me an 850. I go buy a 59 dollar motherboard (a good one too). So a 350mhz upgrade for 59 bucks. Thats a heck of a deal. And i got it shipped overnight with saturday shipping. Now thats expensive. It turned out they had to go make a special dropoff just for me.


Now that is a great company. So i now have an 850 with a new motherboard. Oh and all of it is boxed.

... righto, so, what's the point of this post? Telling us to go and buy 80-buck AMD products then call up the techs for a better replacement?? ;)

Hmm... when this comp gets old... I'll upgrade my P3 733MHz with a nice 600MHz Duron, which should be nice and cheap then. And get a 1.2GHz Athlon!
Nah, I wouldn't want to harm such a nice company.

Yeah... and I want a PentiumXXXXVIIIII 401GHz 10TBs XR-RAM Windows5000 PLUS!... :p just a bit more advanced than yours... hehehehe! :D

BTW, I thought that you go from III to IV, and that IIII doesn't exist...... I could be wrong...? ;)

I would go with a t-bird 1.2 cause they did better on benchmark test than the pIV's did. I think cause of fsb and all that extra cool stuff they have. But hey i think you are still above average

I'll have a wonderful Apple G8 running the ever popular Mac OS XV with Aqua III. Now that Steve Jobs is twelve times richer than the complete corporate wealth of Microsoft and Intel put together. ;)

Wait a minute.... you're telling me that you're using a Mac?? They started sucking since those PowerPCs came out! Hell, I *hated* those iMac mouses, how're you supposed to get a grip on 'em?!!

I'm not saying Micro---- is better, but sheesh..! Like, you'll be wasting time trying to find mac-compatible software, a lot of companies stopped making software for the mac, you know...

yeah, I'm sure you know.... I see that your temperature has gone back up again.. poor cow, you need some serious help. ;)

iMacs also have that nice handle on the top so you can throw them out the window very easily.
