HERE GOES

U KNOW IF UR SITE TAKES A LONG TIME TO UPLOAD AND YOU WANT IT TO SAY PLEASE WAIT A MINUTE AND THEN IT AUTOMATICALLY TAKES U TO THE SITE HOW CAN U PUT THAT ON AND IT UPLOADS QUICKLY ANY IDEAS LADS I TRIED MY BEST TO EXPLAIN IT :chinese2:

I don't know what this has to do with free hosting, but you can use META Refresh tags, and alter the CONTENT value to change the time before it redirects.

how about not using so much java script and whatever other useless code you got on ur site to slow it down. I use Javascript myself but i don't over do it... mostly for mouseover effects only.

I made a human error of posting a fake password in the CGI/PHP Forums asking for help with a script. It turns out this password was the one I used for my freewebspace.net account. The hacker posted in all caps, and I concluded who it was.

Although its possible it was him I wouldn't conclude that straight away. Maybe someone was trying to frame him. Wait till peo or todd come online with the technical evidence.

You'd b better off changing hosts then...

refreshing just keeps the person waiting for the same period fo time, or longer cuz the first info page saying 'site displays in x seconds' has to b loaded too...


hmmm.... so Giancarlo, u managed to trace his IP then I take it?

As far as the deal of your site loading goes, you can make a page with a background saying "Please wait while the site loads" and you can have a table that is 100% wide on top of this. The table can have its own background which will cover the wait message. Tables do not load until they are fully read by the browser.

As a result, it will say "Please wait while the site loads" and then the site will load all at once, on top of and hiding the wait message. It won't use a redirect though.
