win98, IE 5.5, AnalogX proxy.

Since I started to use proxy for me to get connected to the internet, sooooooo maannnyy strange things happenned with my browser (or is it so under proxy).

Like, when I browse to google.com then I open a new window and type another URL, google site showed up, but the URL at the address bar was not google.com.
And I had once tried to acces google.com, but "another" GOOGLE.com showed up, I mean there was a site named google.com (serious).
Another thing, when I tried click a link it will show a page not found error, page cannot be displayed, or even forbidden.
and much more crazy things.

I can manage all of this by opening new window and re-type the url, or refreshing the page, or simply click the link once again.:(
but it is very frustrating me!.
Can anyone give me explanations or solutions for this?please?
:cry2:

Make sure your Tools>Internet Options>Settings are set to Automatically. Sometimes using proxy have that problem of not refreshing.

Is this to be put in Firewall/Proxy???
I ask for the ProxyProgram, but thanks anyway.

O yeah...I have to thanks to HTML-Guru, in the site that you gave me, I found a text that said I have to uncheck
the HTTP 1.1 and HTTP 1.1 thru proxy (or something like that)
in the "Internet Options" of my IE.
but I don't use multiproxy :).
Now my browser doing JUST FINE!!!! :)
glad you guys helped.
Thank you very much!!!

AnalogX?? no problem??
Maybe you have set the right configuration for your browser.

After I set the Advanced Internet Option of my IE, HTTP 1.1 to unchecked, it's going just fine, no such problems again. ;)
