Go to http://icthus.net/CGI-City/ and grab BlueChat. It only takes about 5 minutes to set up and looks really great!

The only problem I see with it is this, if you use hypermart, virtualav, or any other host that puts an inline banner on your page, it will screw up the user interface quite nicely. The chat box is a separate browser window that uses frames to bring it all together. Therefore you will end up with an ad banner in each frame. If you use the pop-up option instead of inline banners it should work great. It even keeps an HTML log of all chat activity so you can browse it and see who was there when you weren't.
