Well, phpbb2 rc3 is out and I realised that it's the first time that I see a software that waiting for the official final release has lost its sense. All rc versions of phpbb2 work fine, so final or not final, for the normal user, almost everything will be the same.

rc2\3 have many bugs....
thats good that they "taking the time", just like the development of APACHE and MOZILLA.

Yes, I agree, there are bugs, but are not visible to the simple user that doesn't want or doesn't care to use all the features of a board. I'm using the rc2 and almosta everything works fine.

I must agree a bit. If anybody remembers... napster was version 1 beta x.x for about a couple of YEARS!

Did Napster ever have a final release? The last version I ever used was beta 9. :confused2

Last version I used was beta 6. :confused2

Then I just used [real] IRC+DCC instead. :biggrin2:

DCC is awesome... queues are too long sometimes though.
