add free guestbooks

hello! i'd like a reliable add-free guestbook-- or at least a script that is not to difficult to understand (i'm a cgi virgin :) ). does anyone know of such a place/script?

Well, the UGB is so easy that, well, even I can do it, without a problem. It's not being supported at the original site any longer, but is available for download it http://www.ugbdev.org/

You just go to downloads, then choose Original Guestbook and then choose the English version, unless German is closer to your native language.

Guestbooks are pretty easy, in general, though, and there are a lot of them that are very good for cgi or php virgins to get started with. Cgi-resources.com and hotscripts.com both have lots of nice, free scripts to choose from.
