I was in the middle of replying to blank verse regarding manonthemoon's thread, but thought I would make a new thread.

Those that post "by the way wrong forum" could just as easily hit the report button to have it moved :confused2 But I guess they wouldn't get an extra post point if they did that....:devious2:

I see frequently, "someone please report this" why doesn't he/she report it? Cos he/she won't get a point?

Or "mods please close this thread" The report link is there, use it! The moderators don't have time to view all the new posts of the day, it is up to us to alert them. Don't just keep posting and replying to someone who agrees the thread should be closed. </rant>

it sends a mail to every mod, if more than one person does it, it can get annoying.

Sure it sends one to each mod. But it can only be moved/locked/deleted once. First in best dressed!

I don't think I've ever seen a particular thread/post reported by more than 5 people, so it is safe to say that multiple reports don't bother us.

I also agree with Jan. Usually I try and and use the report link when necessary, but I'm also a frequent poster at a UBB forum, and since UBB doesn't have the feature it sometimes slips my mind.
