Just a quick question, am reopening my site, and finally got php/mysql. my members want file attachments, and though I have done a large search, can't seem to come up with the info on the more popular boards like phbBB if they come with file attachments capabilities.
Would appreicate if someone can tell me. I have no knowledge of PHP, so it could be a long fustrating experience that would be totally wasted if I get the board up then find out no attachments?
Actually, I wouldn't mind a good content management system like Post-nuke, which I am looking at as well. Anyone got some good PHP script suggestions?
Thanks, hope this is in the right place...

I noticed that roly, but isn't the file attachment mod a little tough to put in and unstable? I read through their forums about it. Don't forget, I have no experience with PHP and mySQL, just Perl. I do admit there's some gaps in my knowledge...

No it's quite easy to install. You don't need to alter any tables in the db. All the code you need to add is just copy and pasted.

xmb allows attachments. it's also quite easy to modify.
so far, i've just found a couple of minor glitches in it. can anyone tell me why it shows "on-line" status in french?

A MOD is a MODification to the original code.

They used to call them hacks, but since hacks is seen as a "bad word" they use MODs now.
