Im looking for a great free webhosting service that has CGI Access and that will allow CUTEFtp to upload Perl scripts

Most will won't they?

Anyway the best providers to run perl on seem to be porland (everything I have tried to work, has done on there) - virtualave (same there - though they do have adds) and f2s (most have worked on here - probably some down to me though)

Datablocks also has cgi access, which you upload via ftp. So take your pick!

cute ftp doesn't seem to work on http://www.datablocks.net don't know why though. but you could always use another ftp client

personally though i think http://free.prohosting.com is a good place for perl scripts. ftp there is quite fast plus you get 50 megs of space. 2 banner ads on every page does get annoying though.

i wouldn't sign up with portland if i were you though... unless you don't mind waiting 10 years for your pages to load

Yea - portland can be like that, yet it can on occasions be the fastest. Pings are always pretty constant, yet the amount of time for the pages to start loading can sometimes be almost 1 minute.

At this moment the pages are loading fast off portland, although I must agree it can become very slow.
