I've been hearing people claiming their stuff is "....the best thing since sliced bread...."

So was is the best thing since sliced bread anyways? Does anybody know what the best thing was before sliced bread?? :confused:

I think when someone says its the best thing since sliced bread i think they mean it as a figure of speech, without really thinking about it. why is bread so good anyways?

Like when someones says "money doesnt grow an trees you know" you probably think no sh¤it you homo. Its just another figure of speech

well, I sure do like carbohydrates, so bread is cool. although i'd rather get my carbohydrates in the form of bagels. so perhaps stuff that's cool is the best thing since pre-sliced bagels.

Using Windows, Alt+F4 is the 3rd best combination of keys I have ever used.
1st=Crtl+Alt+Del
2nd=Alt+Tab
3rd=Alt+F4
