I know they offer the same thing but my question is ... are they located at the same place? same bandwith supplier?, etc?

because they got the same IP and their ping are the same.

tripod's garbage. It's only good for storing zip files like for warez.
Easy to webfake.

it's not hosting for me (I'm pay hosting) , it's for my friends that want bulletin boards :rolleyes: so tripod with mysql and php, it's great!

They disable most of the things in php. I had so much trouble with it. At the end, I gave up, and posted in their forum **** You!

Do they have a file size limit coz I ain't encountered one yet. (addimitly I've only ever uplaoded 3mb)

I totally disagree with you. They support php and mysql and offer a reasonable amount of stuff including a 404 page. I would think you would be lucky to find a host that offers all that for free.

Well i couldn't get it to work. At the end i talked to the forum creator, he said that tripod disables a lot of things.
Since then i'm looking for a BETTER-THAN-TRIPOD free host.
