Anyone want to be a part of the next free blogging software? If you do add me to MSN you can apply for various things. These are as follows:
Beta tester:
You will be testing the Pre-releases of the software, finding bugs, and giving feedback.
Coder:
You will be in charge of making the latest versions(alongside me)
Support:
We might make a chat script for support as well, this is where support would be happening alongside the forums.
All jobs are voluntary, no pay is involved untill we start making paid versions.
Anyone wanting to be a coder must have knowledge and can't be a newbie as we do not have time to be bolted down teaching you. You may apply once you learn enough.
If you want to see a work in progress go to www.wuensche.ca/blog signup, play with it, whatever you want to do. I will be getting a domain for it as soon as we come up with a good name. I may or may not need hosting for it. I do have hosting now but I can only get 1 ftp account and it has 3 other domain names on it, so I don't want to give the password out.
If interested in any of the above you can add me to MSN. If you WANT to buy the domain name you can otherwise I will out of my own pocket.
Final Note: Don't expect to get paid for this.

Count me in as beta tester and support if needed.
Looks great!
... I am getting an error message and re-direct though to a page that says "You didn't update your country properly!"
What is that all about? ...I don't see no option to enter my Country anywhere?

I am currently working on an install wizard than I will be releasing the first version! But I will need to fix a couple things first.. like the Private Messages and replies. Than I will be working on enabling it so each user can have their own blog. ie. a sub domain or sub folder.

Sorry for putting things into perspective. When I make a site, I don't think "Even though everyone has done a file upload site, I'll do one and it'll be P.O.P.U.L.A.R!!!"

Ok guys, what should I do? Should I release the script now even though it's not done? As in their are still some bugs and you'd have to install it manually? I can show you how to install it but I just want to know your opinions.

nah, make an install script and fix up some obvious bugs that you have realised then release it to your beta testers

What's going on with this stuff? lol
The demo has a bunch of errors, and the blogs are gone and there is no link to post a blog anymore.

May 18th, 2006, 21:58
hehe, you're still interested in it? :)
I can get it back up, and what errors do the demo have. PM Me your MSN I or AIM and I'll help you with them.

yea because a tech news, proxy, and url redirector site are very original ideas.

Yeah, I would like to see you finish it so that I can download and install it to test it out. Your demo is all screwed up. There are no blogs on the index page, I can't find a link to post a blog anymore, when I click on your profile in the forums it shows my profile, there is no link to create your own blog, and so on.
Also I keep getting error messages.

I got this error when I just clicked on the "Recent Updates" link:
Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home3/shb7_056/wuensche.ca/public_html/blog/update.php on line 10
Does that mean there have been no updates ..lol
Also, what happened to the "users online" thingy?
Right now the only thing that is working on it is the forum.
