Some people take things a bit too seriously.

Maybe it was all a hoax.

Last time I read something like this. The person took two other lifes, purposely, along with his own...

I don't call them hoaxes anymore

Agreed, however, no doubt the media will report it horribly.
They really have a vengance against video gaming.
It is a sad fact that people do these things, however we cannot blame rs entirely, It was probably a contributing factor, but I doubt it was the sole reason.

No offense to anyone but this child obviously had little or no social life. If he went out and got some fresh air and hung out with some friends more often, he would've better understood the millions of pleasures in life. Loosing 11 million in Rune Scape game currency, not doing "well" in school, and being sick of SoMe people in the world is not something one should kill themselves over. I can go on forever on this, but the action has already been done and no one else would want to read on...

Basically, killing yourself is indescribably dumb.

I don't know anything about suicide and whatnot, but I think that there are deeper mental health problems at play than just being "dumb".

Sounds kinda like the things I would've said when my girl ditched me.

holy...

Sorry, but that is just plain sad. Killing yourself because of an online game? I mean come on!

This is just rediculous... unfortunately sometimes it's just the way it is to people. Games are the life, life ain't the game.

http://www.dothack.com or something like that.

I think the "game" part is being taken a little too seriously.

It wasn't the game, he mentioned, School/Home/Other Places.

Dont' make this about some game, you sound like Overzealous Holy Rollers preaching Rock and Roll is bad ....mkay?

Well then take me for example, I had thought about killin' myself overnight at my father's because of pressure in the world we lived in. (Note: Stress on lived, not live.)

Fortunately, I told the School Psyche. the next time I had the chance, and she rushed me to a counsulour at Dane County Mental Health in Wisconsin. Man, I even hurt myself a bit, but could not do it with that large kitchen knife.

Basically, we now have two opinions. So let us put it all together, shall we?

Number One - The fact that the game could be the thing that killed the person, which is not at all that far fetched, as games are sometimes the one thing(s) in peoples lives.

Or...

Number Two - The fact that the game kept this person running until the point came where the person just broke down and did not wish to have the life that s/he so wished.

Unfortunately, either fact has a reasonable amount of information. However, nothing is usually certain in this topsy turvy world we call Earth. Especially with people that are world leaders that we have today.

The problem isn't with the kid, it's the fact that someone as young as that was able to be so unhappy with no one else helping/intervening, asked for or not.

DarkBlood

Which would mean...

Real Problem - The kid doesn't have any help in the world, thus the kid's solution. Unfortunately, this happens to alot of young teens during their mid and early years.

Right?

The problem is with the Parents... Im a parent, and I would like to think, I sure as hell better be able to see that my son has an issue that can be rectified.
