Italian is the closest to the ACTUAL best food ever, Greek.

March 2nd, 2006, 22:37
Italian would be it. But I am fond of salsa, so I suppose Mexican is in there. Chinese food is good...as in Vietnamese..I want some of that. Tomorrow is Friday, maybe I should treat myself to some. Or what about a good A&W burger - American food. I like food.
And yea, Greek is good too.

It really depends. When I'm fall down drunk, MacDonalds is the one thing I need to SURVIVE.
After that...tough call. I think I'll have to throw my hat in for Italian as well.

I don't think you can choose your own food...?
But a good Alberta meal : Thick slab of Alberta Beef, fried mushrooms on the side, baked potato, Caesar salad. But it isn't exotic...

Mcdonalds and subway
Since the very first day I started working at Bell my daily diet when I work consist of the following:
First lunch:
2 special-of-the-day burgers + medium coke = 6.06$
Second lunch:
Subway daily trio = 5.74$
+ a few cofees / cans of coke in between

Well, if TV has been telling the truth, which it always does, eating mcdonalds and subway would cancel each other out!

Because it doesn't count unless you actually vote (which I didn't bother). :p

I enjoy Americanized versions of Italian, Mexican and Chinese... most of which were invented in New York...
But so far as the actual food that they eat in those countries... Italian. For sure.
They eat goat in Mexico, and the number one selling Campells soup in china is Watercrest and Duck Gizzard. Gross.
And like Bruce, I didn't bother to vote, and hardly ever do. I mean seriously, are we going to send the results to CNN or something?
Blank Verse
March 4th, 2006, 13:54
that kind of news is too far out of the scope of your standard CNNs to comprehend.

That's what's grea about North America: we call it Italian food, we call it Chinese food, we call it Greek food. But really, we know that those terms just represent types of "American" food.

I had originally said "North American" food as well, but figured that "American" is more fitting.
Only Canadians know what "North American" means.

My fav isn't there - Kebab, Turkish (and me from Scotland too), a good 'proper' Turkish Shish or try an Adana is just amazing YUM.
Also Olive leaves stuffed with fillings from Greek recipies, (Greek cheese pies are great), again a Turkish pide dish (try the sucuklu, basically cheese and butter so bad but so good) you cann have all sorts with these dishes to suit but sometimes it's best just as it was intended. :D
It's all bad but as Homer says - It tastes so good - Woj is into this where is the sucker ;p

You don't like ice cream? Pizza? Pasta?
No, I don't really like ice cream.
The pizza we eat here in America, that hardly counts as "Italian" food. Might be derived from Italian cooking, but I wouldn't call it Italian anymore than I would call what I get at Taco Bell Mexican.
And no, I don't like pasta.

Nick is from California. Meaning he's either one of those LA health food freaks, or much more likely, the kind of person who only eats when the Munchies kick in. And a bag of chips and s'mores are a lot easier to make than pasta.

Don't think so, but they scream out "WELCOME TO MOES!" when you walk in. It's "Texican" food. But it's really good, and far surpasses Taco Bell.
And yes, I know that's from the Simpsons. :P

Depends...
If I have to choose something I would eat every day... Italian, or Chinese
If I choose something I LIKE best but dont touch unless I get the urge to further abuse my body.. then McDonalds is an absolute. They have great fast food... I mean seriously, if they were that bad then they wouldn't almost rule the whole world for Gawd's sake...
Welp, there ya go..not even worth 2 cents, but at least I thought about a Big Mac for a few minutes. Now I need to go to the gym.
