I HATE those chain emails. Not only do some spammers get my email address it makes me feel guilty that there are that many gullable dumbasses in the world. Grrr, really pisses me off.

It's immoral to let a sucker keep his money.

MSN will never charge as long as Google and Yahoo start charging for their Messengers

nobody will ever charge for IM, even though they are losing money providing the service. It just won't happen on the basis of market share. AOL doesn't have much else - i mean their ISP is failing...but they have AIM!

i had a customer the other day complain for about 24 minutes about how her high speed wouldnt work...she brought her machine in, and it was because AOL was trying to compete with her other ISP (cox) and was winning.

Seems like they should make alright.

I think i read an artciel or two in the past that stated that AOL, MSN, Yahoo all lose money providing IM services.

TM, do you need a google username for Google Talk? Because it sounds like you do....

March 6th, 2006, 14:04
Yes, although there is a workaround so you just need a jabber account.

I don't have either, and I don't plan on it. Maybe after my WindowsXP (Bought for like 62 USD) comes in, I'll get like Trillian or something finally. LOL

No matter what happens, there'll always be a free alternative.

Duly noted. Now, who's up for some doughnuts? :P
Johnson
March 6th, 2006, 14:31
No joke, I could really go for 3, fresh, plain doughnuts.
DarkBlood
March 6th, 2006, 14:37
*Gives three doughnuts, plain.* There ya goes. But seriously now, MSNM is turning astray from what it used to be, I would not be surprised if I just upped and left it for good and switched over to something different.

No, but there's a couple of mods that let you do so.
DarkBlood
March 6th, 2006, 21:00
But do they all use it within a few days apart from eachother? :P Also, that's a hell of alot more than MSNM's limit of 155 or so!

Is the mod a plugin? Because I know you can do it but it's very hard to remember. You have to do some renaming of the file and have two instances open... it's confusing I did it like right when it came out but I hope there is something easier to use now, lol

What modification are we talking about again? :S Also, there is this program called MSG! Plus for MSNM. Unfortunately I only used it until I got IE6, as I only needed MSG! Plus so I could get my history saved.
