I have tried to apply as a Fastclick publisher but they always denied me. Everytime I apply, I need to use a different url to redirect to my site and I did this 6 times! Can anyone tell me about their experience with Fastclick and recommend some other company that is just as good?

Sorry coolrom, you will find your prospects of a reputable advertising network accepting an emulation site severely limited. I am surprised FocusIn accepted you

Seems like fastclick is not for me. I think doubleclick.net accepts most types of sites but they are hard to get into. :(

Archbob, how many page views do you get per month?
Jan
March 25th, 2002, 23:45
You need at least 2,500 pageviews a month before they will consider you.
Also check this page (https://www.fastclick.com/pub/site_spec.html) for a brief rundown on the types of sites they will accept.

Oddly enough, FastClick denied my webmaster resource site (averaging 60,000 pageviews a month)..
It also denied my gaming site, however I've been accepted into Advertising.com and DoubleClick, instead..:)

I would be surprised if focusin refuses anyone. I heard that they have no cpm banners at the moment and this tells me that they could be shutting down soon. Also you need to earn $50 before they send the first cheque. I don't think anyone should go with them.

Right now so far this month I've hit 10,000 views. Alot of the time, they run my default ad since their inventory is a bit short.

Well, my site DOES get the hits (800,000 page views and 17,000 unique visitors per month), but since its an emulation site, I havent been lucky with any ad company. But recently, DoubleClick accepted me into their program and I signed and fax the contract sheets and all that. I am just waiting for the html tags to come.

Actually according to webalizer installed on my server, I got just over 22k pageviews and 11k uniques this month. I've made about $11 off fastclick. They don't accept gaming sites cause they have very few gaming ads and it converts to bad performance.

I think webalizer has calculated wrongly. How could you get 11k visitors and they only look at 2 pages in one month. That confuses me.

I have free offers on my main page and alot of people click on an ad when they come to the site so page views per visitor is not that great. I suspect webalizer is a bit off though. I don't get many return visitors either.

They're not as bad, as some people think though. They currently are giving about .24 cpm for banners.. Not bad, plus they now pay.

Thats if there are cpm banners to show. Not all are cpm. Some are cpc and some are pop ups. If nobody clicks them then you don't get money.

Fastclick is about the same. ABout half are CPC, I currently get 27-35 CPM . But I get a pretty decent CTR.

I don't currently use focusin, but from looking in my account i can see that currently they have CPM banners ranging 0.07-0.24.. and they have cpc from 0.06 - 0.16, with popups ranging from .20-.80 cpm.

Ive been with focusin now for about 5 months and every month so far my earnings have increased. Right now I'm making approximately $1500 a month from them on my site www.originalicons.com most of the revenue comes from their popups delivered from their banner. I also like that they allow you to choose a third party advertisement to appear in the banner window when they do not have anything to show. This means I won't lose money to un-used inventory. I use a banner from fineclicks.com for free starbucks chocolate and that earns me and extra $50 a month at least. I've been declined by both doubleclick.com and fastclick.com . I don't think they like entertainment sites at all.

Slightly off topic but generally how much does FastClick pay for popunders?

FastClick.com is a very hard ad-network to get into. They didn't even accept Snooply.com. I'm guessing their role in keeping out "non-productive" traffic and not accepting certain types of sites is allowing them to stay alive in the game today.

DoubleClick accepted your emulation site?
btw let me warn you have a 47:1 page view to unique ratio ratio, you will end up showing more defaults than ads to doubleclick and could end up in debt!

Re FastClick: I recently got in with my small real estate relocation site. Currently, I'm giving them around 12,000 impressions per month. I guess they liked the type of traffic over volume.
I've got to say, this is one nice network and my sites visitors are clicking on them.
Still, I'm making about 4 times as much daily with with TextLinks.com that I also use on the site.
