Dvd player messed up?

Hi.

Just a lil question, don't really matter coz my lappy and desktop have dvd drives, but i go to put in a dvd in the player connected to my tv, and it makes a kinda clunking sound http://www.virtualarcade.org/sounds/PLAYER.mp3
So... anyone what is causing this, its not the disk (well it could be, but i tried 5)

Well, since you can get a DVD player for $40, you can probably open it up and experiment with it. Sounds like there *might* be something stuck inside of it, but I doubt it.

Also, check and make sure it is clear of dust inside.

I doubt dust can make that kind of noise.. hahah. but yeah, DVD Players are getting really cheap... a $40 one is probably better than that one.. but it depends on how long a go you bought it.
